It's the first day of the Christmas month and today I'll start with smaller Christmas decorations. The most common ornament is the star. This one is very basic, but a little complicated.
Supplies:
- 4x4 inch pieces of colored paper
- scissors
- glue
Steps:
- Take one piece of paper and fold it in half.
- Fold across. See photo.
- Open the paper and fold diagonally. To do this take one corner to the other side then crease the center. Do the same on the other side.
- Open the paper again and then cut half way in on the four sides. Refer to image attached.
- Following these cuts, make the two sides meet towards the center. See photo.
- Do the same to all four sides. You will be able to form something like this.
- Now, place one on top of the other. Secure it with glue.
- Do this to the remaining parts. Now, you have a 4 point star.
- When you flip, it will look like this.
- Make another to complete a set.
- Then, apply glue on the flat portion and stick the two stars together where tips are in windmill position.
- Make more of these (you can make different colors). Attach a string on one tip and hang it in your Christmas tree.
