Those little cross stitch crafts are complicated for beginners. Here is a seasonal kitchen towel with a delightful snowman to stitch around. There are no sharp needles, which are hard to thread, but only a large plastic needle and yarn to sew with.
For mine, I already started the first two stitches for my daughter. She should have fun with this, and enjoy sewing around the snowman. When she is done I can help her sew it into a pillow or frame it in an embroidery hoop. Either way, it will be a fun project for her. I will put everything (scissors, yarn, needle, and snowman towel) in one of those pretty closable Christmas boxes and she can store it away in style!
