Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Cut out 2 trees. Mine is 15 1/2 inches tall The "stump" is 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches long. This should be cut as one piece.
  2. Sew three strips of ribbon to the "front" Christmas tree. Make 1 1/4 inch loops to insert candy. Two candies in top row, three in the middle and six in the bottom row.
  3. Place a ribbon bow at the top and one at the beginning of the stump. Now sew the two trees together. If you want to make it "Sturdier" insert batting. Turn and hand stitch the bottom of the stump.
  4. finished tree

  5. In the top bow, I inserted an ornament hangar.

The candy tree is an excellent present for all ages. If they don't like candy canes, the Dollar Store has the "fake" candy canes I have in the picture. (Also great when the candy runs out!
