This is for Diane and anyone else who likes fruit cake, but doesn't want all the fuss of chopping fruit, etc. Boxes of Robin Hood Fruitcake, sold in most grocery stores, it is excellent, a light fruit cake. There is lots of fruit in it too, and; easy to make from the mix. Enjoy. (12/08/2006)

A fun, easy recipe I like to make is no-bake wreaths. You make basic Rice Krispie treats, but substitute corn flakes for the Rice Krispies and add green food coloring to the mix. Then just form cookie-sized circles from it and add red hots or other candies for holly or bows. They look festive, are easy to make, and they're yummy. (12/09/2006)

You didn't specify cookie, cake, or candy. Here's a great candy/cookie.
Skillet Cookie's
In a large saucepan over low heat melt butter; add sugar, eggs and dates.
Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture is thick.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla; add Rice Krispies and nuts.
Shape into small balls and roll in coconut.
Cool.

Poor Man's Turtle is a simple candy to make :
Place miniature pretzels on a cookie sheet. Place a Rolo candy (individual piece) on the center of each pretzel. Place the cookie sheet of prepared pretzels in a 200 degree (F) oven for almost 2 minutes, until the candy starts to "cave in" while melting. Remove from oven and push a pecan halve into each Rolo.

Yum Yums (Camp Stoneman Cook Book 1950's)
Melt all the chips together in a large pan over low heat, stirring constantly. Be sure not to burn.
Add noodles and stir to coat.
Place on wax paper by spoonful and cool until set.
And they are YUMMY~~ GG Vi (12/13/2008)
