My kids' school project theme just switched to Christmas. They were required to make a DIY greeting card. This will be entered in a class contest and here's our entry.
Supplies:
- 1 piece green colored paper
- 2 small pieces brown colored paper
- 1/2 crosswise white cardboard paper
- mini star accessories
- scissors
- glue
- pen
Steps:
- Fold white paper into half. Set aside.
- Fold green paper like an accordion.
- Cut into half.
- Cut one half into half again.
- Cut small halves into different sizes.
- Fold all sizes in half. It will then create a set like this.
- Do the same with the brown paper, but do not cut. Just fold them after making an accordion.
- Apply glue to the inner edges and stick together.
- Apply glue on outer edges and glue it to the center fold of your card.
- Start from the biggest and work toward the smallest, from the bottom to top.
- Glue the brown ones below the biggest layer.
- Decorate top of the tree with stars.
- Surround your tree with tiny sparkling stars.
- Write your greetings!
