I took this and that and made a nice wreath for our front door. You will never be able to duplicate this, but with your creations you can make your own "recycled reath"!
Total Time: About 1 hour
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- 1 blank (not decorated) thrift store wreath ($2.99)
- 1 holiday fabric from table cloths ($.59)
- 1 gold poinsettia faux flowers ($.25)
- 1 Bag tiny bows, animals, etc. that you find in bags or bins ($.59)
- 1 hot glue gun
- Bag or Scoop other adornments you might like
Steps:
- Begin with the blank wreath; cut the fabric in strips and hot glue them together.
- Glue to the top of the back, at an angle.
- Wrap around and glue to itself in the back.
- Taking the faux flowers off their stems and glue them to the spaces near the top. I found a great old piece of gold bows for the center.
- With the tiny bows, I put them on the fabric as it had gold lame' threads running through the red.
- Add any other things you want like beads, tiny animals, just about anything that will endure cold weather and wind.
- NOTE: This wreath should not be exposed to rain.
