This craft turned out to be one of my favorites! It is perfect for kids to do on homemade gift tags, Christmas cards, or even just for fun. The sleigh and reindeer are easy to create using only fingerprints and paint. Younger children will need assistance drawing in some of the details. The end result is absolutely adorable and is something to cherish for many Christmases to come.
Total Time: 10-15 minutes to create and over a few hours to dry
Yield: 1

Supplies:
- paint (red, tan, and brown)
- permanent marker (black and red)
- ½ sheet or larger of white construction paper
- computer paint application (optional)
- paper plate for paint
Steps:
- To create the sleigh, dip your thumb in red paint and create an 'L' shape in the bottom left corner of the white paper. Make the 'L' look like it is lying on its back, with the base on the left side.
- For Santa's face, dip your index finger in tan paint and place the print in the sleigh. Leave at least ¾ inch of space between the face and sleigh seat for another step. Now for the reindeer, you will use your thumb and index finger. With brown paint, place thumb prints for the reindeer bodies and index prints for the heads. Space the reindeer at least ½ an inch a part. Allow to dry.
- Take the red marker and draw Santa's hat and mouth. Use the black marker to draw Santa's features (eyes, nose, beard), reindeer features (antlers, ears, legs, noses, tails), sleigh bars, reins, and the hat fuzzy ball. Don't forget to add a red nose for the last reindeer if you want a Rudolph!
- You can also add snowflakes or a holiday greeting! I used the paint program on my computer, but you can easily draw the flakes and greeting into the painting.
