Total Time: 40 minutes, drying time included
Yield: one Christmas card
Supplies:
- printout of provided pattern sheet
- A4 sized white textured paper
- A5 sized brown marbled paper
- small piece of red felt
- red-and-white twine
- pair of 5mm wiggle eyes
- 1 inch bow, I used a red one with white dots
- small piece of white cotton filling
- 10 mm wide red flat-sided rhinestone
- 2 small black beads
- Pilot silver marker pen
- green glitter glue
- pencil
- ruler
- standard scissors
- quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
Steps:
- With the longest sides of the white textured paper on the left and right, fold the A4 sheet of paper first from top to bottom and then from left to right.
- Trace the gingerbread man onto the brown marbled paper and cut it out. With the second fold on the left, centre and glue the gingerbread man to the front of the card.
- Glue the wiggle eyes in place.
- Trace and cut the hat from the red felt. Glue the bottom edge of the hat to the gingerbread man's head.
- Add a strip of cotton filling to the bottom edge of the hat. Then, bend the top point of the hat down and glue the point to the card.
- Use the silver pen to add a mouth, as well as detail to the arms and legs.
- Use the green glitter glue to dress him in a pair of shorts. Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Use the red-and-white twine to add a frame all around the card.
- Cut two suspenders from the red felt and glue them to the card. Use the silver pen to draw buckles on the suspenders.
- Add the rhinestone to the hat.
- Glue the bow and beads in place to finish it off.
