Have large cutouts of a house, car, boat, and other types of insurance your company provides.
Make sure your float does double duty,showing the name of your company logo and location.I think you should tie end something representing fire,water,wind,snow etc.
Insurance is protection. Use pretty and colorful parasols to list one per, all of the things you cover and protect. Have folks on the float twirling them with a catchy tune playing in the background.
A good idea is to have a Santa sitting in a chair and a person with a wish list about all the policies your company offers. You can have gifts in boxes with the name tag for your company and their address and location.
