We have a 7.5 GE Pre-Lit LED Christmas tree and unfortunately I didn't wait for my husband to put it together; I just did it myself. However, I didn't realize that I wasn't supposed to plug in the tree before having all the sections connected. So now none of the lights work and according to the pamphlet, it can cause electrical issues. Is there any fixing this? The base of the tree worked before I connected the other sections. Help! I don't really want to spend another $400 on a tree right now. I called customer service, to no avail. Is this fixable somehow, or is this an expensive lesson learned?

If you did not follow instructions and caused the damage, it is not the company's responsibility. If I were you I would buy lights and string over it. Perhaps your husband can replace the fuse if he is handy.
I would try the company back and ask for what they think is causing the issue...like does this blow a fuse when you do this or does it cause permanent damage.
They must be crazy busy right now as everyone is having issues, and I have found sometimes it takes 2 calls to get someone who really knows what they are talking about and can give you a true answer. You can always very politely ask to speak to a supervisor.
You can also try to talk to the store where you bought it and see if they can give you any feedback.
These newfangled trees are so much more complicated than ever before!! Sometimes I think it is better to keep it simple and follow Charlie Brown's lead (but that is just me). I love a Charlie Brown Tree :)

You do not say if this is a new tree or if it one that has been assembled before and you were just in a hurry to get it up and maybe surprise your husband.
These trees can be tricky sometimes but they generally all have several fuses and if the main one was blown because you did not follow instructions it is still possible it can be fixed.
This may be something you would like to discuss with husband just in case he has a solution handy.
I would suggest you look at the instructions and check where all of the fuses are located. There should be a main fuse (which may be your problem) and a fuse for each section.
Generally there are extra fused included with the instructions so check that also. If no fuses are available then you will need to check the size (take a fuse with you) and purchase several of each size.
Replace the main fuse first to see if this is the problem and then replace each fuse starting with the bottom unit. Check each time to see if anything is happening.
Hope you have good luck and it is a fuse problem.
If it is a new tree - try to return it.
