Recycled Plastic Bottle Christmas Balls - finished balls hanging on a lighted piece of garlandI'm pretty late with Christmas decorations this time. There is no time to buy new Christmas balls, travel time takes longer than shopping so I'd rather spend it making an alternative holiday tree ornament.

Steps:

  1. Let's start by separating the body of the plastic bottle from its head and bottom. Set aside the bottom parts that might come handy for the next project.
  2. Recycled Plastic Bottle Christmas Balls - cut the neck and bottom off of the bottle

  3. Choose a color and wrap washi tape around the body of the bottle.

  9. Seal the cut on each strip with the same tape to form a circle.
  10. Recycled Plastic Bottle Christmas Balls - use matching tape to secure the ends together

  11. Now, glue one circle to another in a cross position.
  12. Recycled Plastic Bottle Christmas Balls - one section glued to another in a cross

  13. Arrange four circles to form a ball. Or if four is too crowded you may create a set of three instead of four.
