This little yarn Snoopy is dressed up with a Santa Hat, and ready to hang on your tree. Or you could add him as trim to a package, or make a lapel pin.
Tie 6-inch piece of yarn to top of bundle. Cut through bottom of bundle. Following Fig 2, draw yarn around Styrofoam ball and tie tightly. Pull all loose strands down to tighten.
Tie red ribbon tightly over this point. Divide strands into two bundles and tie at the bottom, using picture as a guide. Glue the 1-inch pompom to the front for a nose, placing the eyes above. Glue the black sequin to the pompom for the nose. Cut 2 ears from black felt and glue to head. Cut the felt triangle for the hat.
Fold in half and stitch. Add Glue rickrack to edge of hat, if desired. Glue hat to head taking care to let ears show below the edge of the hat. Place hanger in position: pull point of hat down and glue to side of hat. Glue &frac;-inch pompom in place on hat.

very cute
Unfortunately, my pattern for Snoopy's Santa Hat didn't transfer in the correct size. The good news is that the change is easy to make. Just extend the bottom line of the triangle to 4 inches and then draw the side lines to intersect at the top. Hope this is helpful. Best wishes to all.
the clearest directions, nicely given!
This is very confusing. How are you supposed to use a 1-inch styrofoam ball for the head and then a 1-inch pom pom for the nose. Also the hat comes out strange even with the 4 inch bottom. Furthermore, how is the yarn supposed to wrap around the ball (which is not what it looks like in the picture)? Please respond, thank you.
