Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts I hate throwing away calendars from the previous years. I tend to keep the better pieces of large artwork from the nicer ones, then use the pages from lesser desired pages to do crafts. This is a Christmas wreath made of those pages. With a little help from my firethorn bush, it makes a beautiful wreath for the holidays. This is a great upcycling craft for all ages. Out with the old, in the with the new!
Total Time: 1 hour
Yield: 1 wreath
Supplies:
- old calendar
- ruler
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- real or craft red berries with leaves
Steps:
- Pull out full pages from your calendar. The more pages you use, the bigger and fuller the wreath. Fold each page in half once.
- On the side opposite of the fold, use your ruler to make marks at every inch. Make the same marks on the folded side.
- Connect the two guidelines to make long strip marks.
- Cut across using the guidelines.
- Now cut each strip at the folded section.
- Glue the ends of each strip together to make little teardrop shapes.
- Take two of the teardrops and glue them together at the base to make a heart shape.
- Pinch together and hold for a moment to secure. Continue to make more hearts. I made about 20 for this wreath.
- Now glue the bottom of each heart into the top of another.
- Continue with the rest of the hearts to make a long chain, then glue the first heart to the last heart to make a big ring.
- Place glue on the greenery stems and attach to your wreath. I used the one with the berries on top and plain foliage below.

I used to want to eat them when I was a little one. Now I know it's best just to look at!
