When doing your baking during the holidays this year, the mess is so much easier to clean up if you lay out sheets of waxed paper on your counters before you begin. When you are done, most of the mess just picks up with the sheets of waxed paper! Big time saver for me!

This is a great idea. And I just thought this would also be a great use for those saved cereal bags split down the side or those plastic bags from produce bought at the market...anything disposable to keep the mess off the counters would be great.
Use wax paper or parchment paper to line your area where you'll be preparing baked goods or any other food preparation for quick clean up also when your measuring out your flour for a recipe that measure it out on a piece of wax paper and then use it to pour into your mixing bowl at the time you need it. If you are making a yeast dough use a clean tea towel that has no lint on it and knead the dough on rhe tea towel. .quick clean up!
