You can make your own patterns onto paper with a simple design by tracing a cookie cutter or out of a kid's coloring book or do a search online for simple black & white Christmas clip art to use as a starter. Examples:

Or you could try sizing down some candle wicking patterns to use:

We did this in 4H years ago, and used Christmas coloring books for our designs.
