Sugared Party Pecans

There is no need for a can of mixed nuts at your party if you make these delicious pecans. They are easy to make and are sure to be devoured.

Ingredients:

• 3 cups sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1/3 cup orange juice
• 1 tsp. orange rind (grated)
• 1 lb. pecans (shelled)

Directions:

Mix sugar, water and orange juice together and cook to a soft boil stage. Remove from heat and add orange rind. Stir in pecans, mixing until the syrup becomes cloudy. Pour nuts onto waxed paper and break apart as they cool.
