I love cookies so when I heard about Cookie Swaps, I was in HEAVEN! There are many ways you can do your party. I set the date and just asked all my guest to bring a big batch of their favorite cookies. Try to see what kind they are making so you don't end up with all one kind.

A few years back i had a cookie swap at work. I loved all the different sorts of things my co-workers made. We had 24 people sign up. A few were unable to fulfill the orders, but the extra cookies were enjoyed by all on break.
About fifteen years ago, several of my co-workers and I did a Cookie Exchange. Even though we no longer work together we still do it even tho we had to skip a few times in between. It gives us a chance
to catch up with what's going on in our lives. And it's fun. We keep it small...no more than 6 of us. We find out exactly how many will be attending and bake that many dozens of cookies. That way each person goes home with a dozen each of several different kinds. We play a few games and socialize. Each of us brings one gift with a value of no more than $10.00. To exchange them we get in a circle and play the game "Christmas with the Right Family." (If you google it you can easily find it.) As you're reading the story, every time the word right comes up, you pass your gift to the right; and every time the word left comes up, you pass the gift to the left.
Here is Right Family story. I did find it by googling. Have fun!
CHRISTMAS WITH THE RIGHT FAMILY
Christmas was almost here, and Mother RIGHT was finishing the Christmas baking. Father RIGHT, Sue RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT returned from their last-minute Christmas errands.
"There is not much LEFT to be done," said Father RIGHT as he came in to the kitchen.
"Did you leave the basket of food at church?" asked Mother RIGHT. I LEFT it RIGHT where you told me to," said Father RIGHT. "I'm glad my shopping is done," said Billy RIGHT. "I don't have any money LEFT."
The hall telephone rang, and Susan RIGHT LEFT to answer it. She rushed back and told the family, "Aunt Tillie RIGHT LEFT a package for us RIGHT on Grandma RIGHT's porch. I'll go over there RIGHT away and get it," she said as she LEFT in a rush.
Father RIGHT LEFT the kitchen and brought in the Christmas tree. By the time Susan RIGHT returned, Mother RIGHT, Father RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT had begun trimming the tree. The entire RIGHT family sang carols as they finished the decorating. Then they LEFT all the presents arranged under the tree and went to bed, hoping they had selected the RIGHT gifts for their family.
Now I hope you have the RIGHT present for yourself, because that's all that's LEFT to our story................except to wish you a Merry Christmas.................isn't that RIGHT??????
