Do you have to mail gifts and don't want the bows to be mashed, yet don't want to leave them "plain?" Cut out pictures of pretty bows or make flat "bows" and "ribbons" out of construction paper and glue them on. You could play with this idea and have creative fun with it.

I make two kinds of flat bows and decorations out of ribbon:
1. Make a loop of ribbon and press it flat (with the ends overlapping on the underside). Wrap a shorter piece of ribbon around the center, crease it flat, and tape it down. Tape this bow along or across a band of ribbon around the package.
2. Make a sunburst design in the middle of the package, or quarter-sunburst in one corner: cut pieces of ribbon of various lengths with angled ends, tape them down with double-stick tape. Cover the center, where they all come together, with a sticker or the gift card.
This gives me a new idea - how about a little fabric bow from your scrap box? This won't get mashed out of shape.
