Shop After Holiday Sales for Hostess Gifts

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 166 Posts

To save on hostess gifts, I purchase hand towels, kitchen towels, and cloth napkins all year long when they go on sale after any holiday. I always have a good selection on hand and they are wonderful hostess gifts or stocking gifts at Christmas. I do not know of anyone who does not use these items.

I wrap them in inexpensive white tissue paper with a single ribbon wrapped around the package. I also watch for ribbon and tissue paper on sale a Michaels or other craft stores. Garage and estate sales are also great places I have found these wrapping items.

I love to shop the after Christmas sales. I just bought 5 sweaters for $12.50 each at Macy's for my nieces. I used my $25.00 gift certificate toward the price, so I ended up paying around $7.00 cash for each sweater.

Now I am ahead 5 gifts for 2012 and able to give the nieces each a nice gift for very little money!
